Ontology Reuse Decision Support: Visualize the Ontology or its Usage?

چکیده
When considering an existing ontology for reuse to annotate new data, one needs to check if the ontology contains classes and properties suitable for describing the data. Visualizing the ontology itself in some of the available tools, to support such a decision, is an obvious option. We propose that ontology usage visualization, a slight variant of dataset schema visualization, might however be an interesting, complementary, alternative. We test the idea in a small evaluation with users.
